Cardi B - 'Invasion Of Privacy' Album Review

Image
"They say by now that I'll be finished, hard to tell ( I can tell). My little fifteen minutes last long as hell." Those words summarize Cardi's debut album, which is by all means one of the strongest debut I've ever listened to. Cardi B was almost a one hit wonder. A lot of people got tired of listening to 'Bodak Yellow'... Me, I didn't even like it to begin with. After an impressive follow-up single and a phenomenal guest verse on a multiple Grammy award winning artist's song, Cardi hurl out the one thing haters thought would be far fetched - A full length album(actually it's just 13 songs but it's as full as hell and conveniently satisfying). In spite of the fact that the word " p***y" is the most mentioned word on the album( "h*e" is probably the second most mentioned), it is for everybody. Cardi and her team combine self absorbing lyrics with mouth watering samples... and, oh yes, the appropriate ( for

Quantico Returns With a.... definitely not a bang.

Oh please don't look at me like that, Alex. That is a perfect headline. After a long hiatus, the Priyanka Chopra led series returns. Truthfully, I predicted it would lose it's vibe when the showrunner and creator, Joshua Safran, quit after the second season because he felt he's done telling his story. The new showrunner didn't make any promises apart from that he's interested in leading a show that shouldn't continue. But I missed Alex and the team. The episode opened with the farmland scene that already flooded the internet. Alex in Italy. Happy with a new guy that isn't Ryan. Until, of course, bad guys show up. The only surprise in the premiere is the news of Ryan and Shelby's union. But, on a very light note, no one should really be surprise. Shelby has a track record of messing with men she shouldn't even get close to. Um, should I start listing? Caleb. Caleb's Father. Caleb's brother. If Caleb's mum wasn't th

This is a weekly review of all the DC Comics shows showing on the small screen. The Arrowverse: Arrow, The Flash, Legends Of Tomorrow and Supergirl; CW's Black Lightning; Fox's Gotham and Syfy's Krypton. Black Lightning and Legends of Tomorrow have wrapped up their 2017/2018 season. Gotham didn't air this week. Supergirl (S03E15) Lena, The Great; Martian Dad Hunter, The Powerful In it's second episode after a long hiatus, Supergirl finds its footing on immense character development and unbelievable action. ... and quite mature comedy which starts with Kara not ripping her cloth apart, like she's always done, to transform to Supergirl because she likes the "shirt." Wonder how many lives would have been lost if you button down slowly like that, Supergirl... LOL, don't mind me. From a bar fight with a Kalanorian, to cape tricks with Mon El; to a surprisingly good all out DEO fight inspired by a psychic attack... where Alex shine

NBC's Timeless, DC's Legends Of Tomorrow: Two sides Of The Same Coin... for now.

The time team on both shows are immensely committed to preserving history. While Legends have done that using different plotlines each season, our friends on Timeless have been chasing an evil organization called Rittenhouse, that is bent on turning history in their favour. That summarizes the plan of every Legends' big bad. With time travel shows, having intertwined plotline shouldn't raise eyebrows. Both shows have meddled with past presidents' younger selves, history shapers and also music legends. The newest episode of Timeless(S02E06) titled "The King of Delta Blues" definitely made Legends fans nostalgic(sort of.) Rittenhouse travelled back in time to San Antonio, 1936, to stop Robert Johnson and Don Law from recording an album and the team wants to make sure the album is made. Robert Johnson is the King of Delta Blues and Father of Rock 'n' Roll. Not recording that album means there is no modern blues music, "no rock n roll, none of y

'The Weeknd - My Dear Melancholy,' Album Review

When you hear a big RnB artist has put out a six track – no vocal feature album– the first thing that comes to your mind is 'they are remnants and leftovers of a previous or an upcoming album' or 'he's releasing this to get hype us up for his new album.' But 'My Dear Melancholy,' (yes, there's an actual comma in the album title) doesn't sound that way. Either this is a full project to The Weeknd or his production team is just an awesome lot. Fresh out of a relationship with Selena Gomez, The Weeknd recruits Frank Dukes to executive produce alongside him. Although the songs are chapters of the same 'I just got out of a Break-Up' book, each song got it's own distinctive feel. 'Call Out my Name' and 'Try Me' are definitive standalone hit tracks. In the former, The Weeknd gives his best vocally and delivers the album's most talked about line: "I almost cut a piece of my self for your life."  For thos

Arrow Season 6 Episode 17: Brothers in Arms' Recap- Best Offering Yet

Oh, I know I used the word 'recap' but I'm only gonna talk about one scene. The only one that matters. Thanks. Arrow delivers it's best episode this season. And yes, it has everything to do with the heated exchange/brawl between John and Oliver. Watching those two go at it for four minutes was mind-blowing. Especially when John starts blaming Oliver for a lot of terrible things that has happened to the team and the city. Including putting the team under surveillance. A move i remember Oliver made via Felicity with Diggle standing "right there next to" him. (Makes three dotted signs with my hand in the air to indicate someone beside me or three Diggles) But John crossed the line when he brought in Willaim's Mum ( Oliver's baby mama) into it. And that's just from my perspective. The moment he said the words, "... but what comfort's that to William, whose mother's dead because of the bad decisions that you've made?&
